da bwin: Liverpool have been linked with Germany international striker Timo Werner to add to their already devastating frontline.
da cassino online: That might have meant that the odd Reds fan shunned watching England’s defeat of Holland to do a scouting mission on their reported transfer target, valued at £54m by Transfermarkt.
To the naked eye, they will have been impressed with what they saw. The Germans enjoyed less of the ball than the Spanish, as you would expect, but Werner was adept at leading the counter attack.

His explosive pace and movement look perfectly suited to the Premier League and watching him, you can see why Jurgen Klopp would want to add him to his squad. However, the stats do not make for impressive reading.
He only had one shot all game, which was off-target. Werner also took three unsuccessful touches – he only had 36 in the whole time he was on the pitch; which shows how he struggled to get involved in general play.
Some of this can be explained away by the fact that he was charged with playing on the break, but a pass accuracy of 65 per cent is pretty poor for an international frontman.

Still only 22, it is clear that Werner has a lot still to work on and his price-tag might be a little high for someone who can still drift to the periphery of matches.
However, some of his attributes look perfect for the Premier League and he seems like the ideal striker for Liverpool’s bitter rivals Manchester United, in some ways. So if Liverpool do want him, they may have to act fast – despite what the stats say.
