According to Alasdair Gold of football.london, due to the success of his loan spell, Celtic are expected to take up the option to buy Carter-Vickers.

It is reported that the fee consists of an initial £6m, with potential add-ons bringing this up to an eventual £10m.

However, Gold also claims that a number of Premier League sides are interested in the signing.

The Verdict: Good move for him

Having made just five first-team appearances for Tottenham, it seems rather unlikely that the 24-year-old is going to have any real chance with the Lilywhites.

Hailed by pundit Chris Sutton as an “excellent” defender, it would be a shame to see Carter-Vickers waste his talents in Spurs’ reserves, or on loan at a number of different clubs.
