da marjack bet: Fulham have now emerged as frontrunners in the race to sign a £44m striker, having expressed serious interest, and manager Marco Silva knows him well.

Cottagers back on track after win at Turf Moor

da betobet: The Cottagers have managed to allay fears of relegation from the Premier League over the past month or so, and they are now sitting seven points clear of the relegation zone, following a 3-2 away win against a struggling Burnley side at the weekend.

Harry Wilson continued his red-hot form, with the winger bagging two assists and another goal, which was his fifth of the season in the Premier League, the highest number of any player in the squad.

Consequently, the west Londoners may have reservations about offloading the Welshman during the January transfer window, following well-documented interest from Leeds United back in the summer.

However, Silva may be keen to refresh his own attacking options, considering Raul Jimenez has struggled so far this season, scoring just twice in his opening 15 Premier League appearances.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Fulham are now showing serious interest in signing Fiorentina striker Moise Kean, who Silva knows well, having signed the Italian way back in 2019 during his time as Everton boss.

The Cottagers are pushing to sign Kean, and have now emerged as the frontrunners in the race for his signature, despite La Liga heavyweights FC Barcelona also being linked.

However, a deal could be on the expensive side, given that the centre-forward has a market value of £44m, which may be an obstacle, and he hasn’t exactly been in the best of form this season…

Kean would be risky signing for Fulham

The 25-year-old was extremely impressive right across the 2024-25 campaign, bagging a whopping 25 goals across all competitions, which helped propel Fiorentina to a sixth-placed finish in the Serie A.

In light of his fantastic displays, the 24-time Italy international received high praise from football writer Mina Rzouki, who described him as a “king of kings” after scoring a brace against Inter Milan while he has been lauded for his “scary” physical presence by reporter Carlo Garganese.

The former Everton man hasn’t been quite as prolific this season, however, scoring just twice in 14 Serie A outings, so it would be a risk to shell out a fee of £44m.

Not only that, but the Vercelli-born striker failed to deliver during his previous stint in England, notching just two goals in 32 Premier League outings for Everton.

Should Fiorentina be willing to drop their asking price, it could be worth Fulham making a move for Kean this January, particularly considering Jimenez has been struggling in front of goal, but the current valuation is too high, given his current form.
