Speaking to Give Me Sport, Jones couldn’t hide his disappointment at Kamara’s injury setback, calling the youngster a ‘big’ factor in the club’s planning for the season:
“It’s devastating and Villa fans must feel cursed that this is happening again.
“Kamara is such a big part of what they were planning this season and at a time when he would just have been settling properly in England, he’s now out.”
The Verdict: Cruel
This injury has come at a terrible time for both Kamara and Villa, with the midfielder finding his feet at his new club and being hailed as the manager’s best midfielder ‘by a mile’ by Dan Rolinson.

The youngster has already averaged a hugely impressive 3.3 tackles per game in the Premier League this season, as well as enjoying an 83.8% pass completion rate.
Hopefully, Kamara’s absence isn’t too lengthy, with the upcoming international break at least meaning he won’t miss any immediate Villa games, but a spell out of the team may still have to be expected.
